About the Author
Jeffrey D. Terry is the author of Lineside Legacy. A native of Salt Lake City, his first trip aboard a steam locomotive was at Utah’s "Heber Creeper" tourist line in 1978 – a trip that sparked a lifelong interest in railroad preservation. Jeff worked several summers as a fireman on Utah’s Heber Valley Railroad while attending college, further feeding his interest in steam and preservation. He currently resides in Minnesota, where he’s employed as a locomotive engineer for Canadian Pacific. His writings and photographs have appeared in Railfan & Railroad, Trains, Classic Trains, Railroads Illustrated, and many other publications.
